Electro-Glass Products was founded in 1973 as a manufacturer of glass insulators for the electronics industry. The original location was a small building in the town of Mammoth, in western Pennsylvania.

The early days found the company producing small quantities of preforms using three standard glasses. As the years went on, Electro-Glass developed a reputation for sincere honesty and high quality standards. This reputation prompted many companies to bring us their ideas for new applications and uses for glass, causing new technology and processes to be developed.

Our growth was so significant that in 1980 Electro-Glass expanded its operations and moved to its present 40,000 square foot facility. We soon found that the 1980 move was only the beginning of what was to be decades of exciting advancement. Much new equipment has been both purchased and invented by Electro-Glass since 1980, which included tool making capability. New quality control programs were implemented along with the addition of on-site melting, grinding, spray drying, granulating, hot drawn clear and opaque glass tubing, and hot pressed lenses, sight glass windows, along with micro-wave window applications. With this in-house talent in place and functioning, Electro-Glass Products has developed into a highly reliable production and product engineering facility.

Electro-Glass Products will continue to strive in this twenty-first century to be a leader in the advancement of glass technology, making available to our customers the latest in new materials and fabricating techniques.
